The onion is known for its bold, pungent flavor profile, which is owing to a variety of phenols and enzymes in the bulb.

You can use dried onion granules in any food that you would raw, chopped onion. The primary differences between the two is that the granules won’t make you cry, will last a long time without refrigeration and give you all the zesty flavor you want without the prep work.

Onion is a vegetable and herb that is closely related to leeks and chives. It is a cool weather crop harvested for its bulbous root, which consists of several basal layers of juicy flesh in which the plant has been storing its food reserves.

Granulated onion is produced from the dried vegetable and readily rehydrates when introduced to cooking liquids or exposed to fats (i.e., olive oil or butter). Use it to add flavor to garlic bread, pizza crust, dips and spreads or freshly cooked pasta.
