With honey sweet and smoky notes in the mix, this cocktail warms and goes down smooth. For best flavor and color, use a good quality blended scotch whiskey.
2 oz blended scotch whiskey 1 oz lemon juice 1 teaspoon honey, diluted in 1 teaspoon boiling water 0.5 oz ginger syrup (follow link to recipe)
Place all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice; strain into a short glass. Serve with a slice of lemon, if desired.
