herbal holiday potpourri recipe
perfect for gift-giving during the holiday season
2 cups dried rose hips
1 cup bayberry bark
1 cup pine needles
½ cup miniature pinecones
8-10 whole bay leaves
6 star anise
3 cinnamon sticks, broken
2 tablespoons orris root powder
10 drops pine essential oil
Combine dry ingredients in a large non-reactive bowl. Add the essential oil and stir. Scoop the potpourri mixture into glass jars with lids. Seal and store in a dark place for 4-6 weeks, turning or shaking once each day.
