Elderberry Botanical Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of organic elderberry juice powder
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Whisk the organic elderberry juice powder and water together in a small saucepan until dissolved.
  2. Stir in the ground cinnamon and ground ginger.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat and let it cook for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  5. Stir in the honey or maple syrup until fully combined.
  6. Transfer the syrup to a glass jar and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Enjoy stirred into teas, drizzled over oatmeal, or mixed into sparkling water.
