[ DIY: Rose, Honey, and Almond Oatmeal Soap - Melt and Pour Method ] ~ from Monterey Bay Herb Co
diy: rose, honey, and almond oatmeal soap — melt and pour method

This luscious soap smells wonderful and will leave skin soft and smooth. Petitgrain essential oil is an economical alternative to rose absolute, although you could certainly use the latter if you wish.

3 cups glycerin soap base
⅓ cup rolled oats
⅓ cup dried rose petals
1 tablespoon pure honey
1 teaspoon sweet almond oil
1 teaspoon petitgrain essential oil

In the top of a double boiler, heat the soap base or glycerin soap scraps until liquefied. Stir in oats, rose petals, honey and essential oil. Remove from heat and immediately pour into molds. Cool for several hours until hardened.
