cilantro leaves in tea
Cilantro is a member of the parsley family that is native to Asia and
Africa. Its compound leaves are harvested fresh for use in Mexican and
Indian cuisines. The dried herb exhibits a much milder flavor that some
people find borders on bland. However, dried cilantro used in tea blends
or encapsulated as a supplement delivers calcium, potassium and other
minerals, as well as several antioxidant compounds, such as limonene and
alpha-pinene. See also coriander .
