This simple formula is easy to make and easy on little tummies. Be sure to use vinegar instead of alcohol to make it child-friendly.
½ ounce gentian root ½ ounce licorice root ½ ounce cinnamon chips 4 cardamom pods, lightly crushed 1 teaspoon dried orange peel 4 cups alcohol or apple cider vinegar
Place all herbal material in a large glass canning jar. Cover with the alcohol or vinegar. Cap the jar and place in a cool dark place for 6-8 weeks. Strain and decant the finished tincture into dropper bottles. Note: If using vinegar, add a tablespoon of honey, more to taste, just before bottling
