berry gin fizz
This recipe makes 10 tumblers, but if your gathering is smaller just refrigerate the fruit puree for later use and adjust the amounts for the remaining ingredients accordingly.
2 ½ cups frozen raspberries, thawed slightly
1 ½ tablespoons dried lemon peel
10 whole juniper berries
¼ cup honey
2 cups gin
4 ½ cups club soda
Distribute the raspberries and lemon peel between 10 tumbler glasses’ add 1 juniper berry to each glass. Lightly crush the berries in each glass with a muddler or the back of a spoon and add the honey. Top each glass off with 2 jiggers of gin (or to taste), club soda and ice. Stir well before serving. Garnish with a twist of lemon or a sprig of rosemary, if you wish.
