This classic cocktail is a spin-off of The Alexander, which featured gin. Because of its smoothness, it is sometimes referred to as a Milk Shake.
1 ½ cups vanilla ice cream, softened ¼ cup French brandy ¼ cup crème de cacao freshly grated nutmeg Combine ice cream, brandy and crème de cacao in a blender and process until smooth. Pour into two chilled stemmed glasses. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
