Dog grass, also commonly called couch grass, is a perennial, creeping plant that most gardeners recognize as an invasive weed. This is also the grass that domestic cats and dogs seek out to purge the contents of their stomachs – hence the name. In Europe, the roots of dog grass have been used for centuries to support kidney and urinary health.
