Solomon’s seal is a woodland perennial native to Asia, Europe and North America and is grown as an ornamental elsewhere. This member of the lily family is well known for its striking appearance and its long history of use in Traditional Chinese Medicine as an herb that restores qi to the Lung, Heart, Kidney and Spleen meridians. The herb is typically prepared as tea or tincture, taken in capsule form, or applied topically as a poultice, salve or spray.
