For the tea traditionalist – tea strainers made of natural materials. Our rustic, handmade bamboo strainers are modeled after those used in traditional Japanese tea service. They consist of a solid, thick length of bamboo that supports a basket made of thin strips of bamboo tightly-woven to capture tea leaves but allow water to pass through.
Our large tea “sock” expands to hold large quantities of loose tea, herbs or spices and is intended to make a full pot rather than a single serving. Made of natural cotton, the sock can be used over and over. Simply rinse in warm water and let air-dry. The sock will become “tea stained” over time and take on a lovely, warm patina.
