The basil plant produces lush aromatic green leaves and later white flowers near the end of summer. The essential oil contained in the leaves is strongest just before the plant flowers. Although basil grows all over the world this particular variety is from the Mediterranean.
Safety: Basil essential oil can be a mild irritant and should be avoided if you have sensitive skin. Do not use basil oil during pregnancy.
Mix Basil Essential Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, and Sandalwood Essential Oil in a carrier oil and rub into your shoulders and neck.
